Work

The work, in three parts.

Three themes, six pieces of work, all chosen because they make a measurable difference to small businesses on a high street. No prices on this page, fixed prices on every package.

01

Visibility.

The first job for any independent business is being where customers look. That used to mean Google alone. Now it also means the AI assistants more and more people ask first.

Where most start

Get found on Google.

Most enquiries still start with someone typing "[thing] near me" on a phone. I rebuild your Google Business Profile, fix the website so it loads fast, and put the structured data behind it that search engines need. The result is showing up in the map pack for the searches that matter.

Where most start

Be the answer in AI search.

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and the AI overviews on top of Google are where a growing share of customers start. They recommend businesses with clear, well-written, well-structured answers. I write those answers, mark them up so the assistants can read them, and check each quarter whether you are the one being recommended.

02

Paid.

Most ads waste money because nobody is watching them after week one. The work is to set them up properly, write copy and creative that sounds like your business, and pause anything that stops earning back.

Once the basics are working

Run paid ads.

Set up on Google or Meta, written and tested by me, checked every week. You pay the platforms direct for ad spend, never through me, with no markup. If a campaign stops earning back, I pause it and tell you why.

Once the basics are working

Make the creative.

Headlines, descriptions, image concepts, simple cuts of your existing photography. Honest pictures of the actual place beat stock art every time. When bespoke photography or video is worth the spend, I bring in people I have worked with for years.

03

Lasting.

The slow-and-steady work, the kind that pays back in month six and beyond. Reviews accumulate quietly. Optimisation makes whatever is already running earn a little more, every month.

Where most start

Earn reviews without asking.

A QR card on the counter, a polite post-visit email, steady upkeep of your responses. I set the system up once, watch it monthly, and reply on your behalf where it helps. Done well, this typically adds fifty to a hundred reviews over six months without a single customer being asked face-to-face.

Across the board

Keep optimising every month.

Each month I review what is working, change what is not, and report it back in plain English on the first. No black box, no jargon, no vanity metrics. If something stops earning back, I pause it. If it is doing well, we double down.
